Ideal Windsurf / Kiting Vehicle?

Post by mortontoemike »

One of these puppies pulled into the day use area (when there isn't a camper parked there) at Nitinat today:

A couple from Switzerland had it shipped to Halifax for the tortuous trek across Canada. Man (pun) that thing would withstand a full on Warthog attack! Unreal vehicle.
I wish my TOW was longer!

nope, he's always asked for over 100k, checked on this thing a year back, pretty cool but a bit over the top for kiting or windsurfing, ski touring on the other hand....but even then too wide for our narrow overgrown logging roads  an import 4x4 is still the best bet for that

Narrow overgrown logging road - quad will go where no 4x4 will. And a Ute will go to almost anywhere a quad can and still carry a load (mine is rated 1/2 ton). I do have a thing for Unimogs though. They were the most extreme offroad vehicle you could get in the mid 60s when there was one in the little mining town I grew up in - it always had a circle of admiring kids around it. Those extreme campers might be actually useful in Africa or central Asia, but I bet most people who have imported them here never get anywhere more extreme than a mainline logging road.

I believe a good kite surfing vehicle should represent one’s state of mind.

Brilliant! That picture captures the energy/mental state of the frenetic drive to the beach perfectly for most wind addicts. New Bigwavedave logo?
