Quick walk with Sharon and the cat this morning showed more wind than model predicted. Raced around home with Sharon doing an adult easter egg hunt that Luke did all the hiding for. All the while sipping a fresh coffee. Quickly raced down to the beach to rig after 4 hours of all that family stuff. Timed it perfectly for the lighter wind with some still nicely formed waves rolling in over the diminishing sand bar breaks. Every slog out was rewarded with an easy ride into the shallows repeat after repeat as the wind and waves diminished further. Damn that was fun after all the self isolation lately. Even managed one lame heli tack along with some clew first frontside wave riding attempts. No hood or gloves required. So glad we have that 5.7 Banzai now! 8)
