In case anyone is interrested in sailing boats, here is a screaming deal. The club has a martin242 and a Capri 25 that are both available to members. Also there are Lasers, International 420's and FJ's. Oh, and the club has a bar/restaurant. There is an Open House May 7th 1-4 pm.

Hey Joe, does being a member get you cheaper moorage?

We just moved up to Maple Bay because Sidney was getting too pricey and none of the Yacht clubs seem to advertise much about how much moorage is if you join (plus some seem to have huge wait lists). Since we aren't from here, and are relatively young, I also don't know any members who I could ask!

Nanmoo, I don't know about the moorage rates since I use the club boats. Best to call or email, or stop by the open house Saturday and ask.

Being a member of the club will not get you cheap moorage. My 30 ft. costs about $340 Per month. The club if fun and the staff are very nice.

Thanks Rick, that is sort of what I thought. Though I've heard at the capital city yacht club, there is reduced moorage (but a 6-7 year waitlist for membership).
