| Details | Took the plunge and booked off for a Pipers play day. It looked really good at 9am on the cam before leaving. Got there and 1 lonely winger out, turned out it was John Lum who I've not seen in on the water in a couple years. He was on a 4m so that's what I went with and my HPS930. It was a really nice day, very easy and a gentle 4m, unfortunately swell was very small had no real carry to it, on some of the better ones I could get about 3 turns and they'd wimp out. Cruised up to Neck Point Park and it was getting really light so down back to Pipers. Went in and switched out my small foil to the HPS1050 and even that didn't really spice things up as it was getting quite light for the 4m. Should have gone to 4.5 and foil swap time. Oh well, 2 other wingers appeared for my last 1/2hr, pretty much had the whole pond to myself! [from Session Log on Wednesday April 16, 2025] |
