cool, looks deadly. are those stripes of carbon cloth to reinforce the fin zone? did you consider more of a round top edge for foot comfort out on the rail.

DD; The carbon reinforcement was to help with heel compression and to form the top of the I beam for the Tuttle boxes. I wrapped/undercut the rails (the opposite of the present class of kite race boards) to try to eliminate one of the major compromises with the present boards (speed vs. turning ability). I wanted to keep the wetted water length as straight as possible at speed, but I also wanted to pull the back end in so the board would turn fast. I believe I have accomplished this by inverting the rails. I was concerned that my soles might not like this “sharp†edge, but so far that has not been an issue. My initial field test results are positive. The straight rails seem to give the board good speed. Conversely the “tucked†rails allow the board to turn faster than full volume back ends. I need to test it against the best boards out there to see if I have it right. Having said this I still find these race boards to be a bit of a handful. Lots of crashes, but getting better.
