Impact vest input

Post by TonyT1000 »

OK so I am a newbie to "wing foiling". I would say that what I am currently doing right now is closer to "wing flailing". A couple of nasty wipeouts yesterday has made me realize that an impact vest might not be a bad idea. Mainly for rib/sternum protection (falling on side of board).
Anyone have a used impact vest for sale? Small or medium in size.
Best impact vests out there? Best places to purchase? I'd prefer to try on before buying. Anyone sell them here in Victoria?
Cheers, thanks in advance.

Lots of options. Fit is important, especially with whatever harness you have. Essential for foiling. Mtb armour wouldn’t be a bad idea either. I use the Dakine front zip.

I picked up a Mustang neoprene pfd from Trotac. It has saved me already on some good wipeouts. I know Sherwood carries them too. Bonus is having shoulder protection from the mast when carrying the gear upwind!
