update: I've tried contacting the resident via phone a couple of times, and all I get is a recording saying the customer is unavailable. Emails are going unanswered, too.

If I'm over in the area I'll see if anyone is home.

apparently the angle is such that to be in pictures you need to go almost to the point to make the record, I gybed in the normally best wave area only to make it barely into the frame, might need a wideangle on there afterall

Pics seem to get blurry when it gets windy! Maybe angle change will help?

It got blurry a bit on Friday because of rain hitting the window (the camera is indoors). It's a fixed focus camera (no autofocus), but the rain on the window makes it look blurry. I do have an outdoor enclosure for it that has a bit of a hood which might help with the rain and would also give us more choice in viewing angle. Not sure when we would install that though...it looks pretty good to me

The focus does need to be tweaked a bit. It's a zoomable webcam but right now its only focused on the wide angle and it needs to be fixed so that it works for all zoom levels. But it means spending an hour or so with the camera...one day. We don't want to wear out our welcome there either.
