Hmm, Hey Jimmy does this mean that the artic ice will be thicker this year? Kinda flying in the face of the "global warming" trend isn't it, having the ocean temp lower than average? I truly hope all this extra precip that will be falling this year will fall as snow in the rockys and not melt at all once again helping keep the snow packs from receeding further!
Airtime! whoo hoooo, its all about the airtime...... ok waves rock too!

Being an optimist, I assume the persistent fronts will bring lots of wind this winter/spring ... Maybe keep those arctic out breaks on hold ... Bring on the pineapple express ... Booking my August vacation for Nitinaht !!! 8)

#%$%^!@^!$^ and @$!!#$!@@$%$^$^$ I haven't seen more that 10min sun in the last freekin two months, ENOUGH of this weather, please Jimmy write the weather gods for me for a small break in the weather at least for one day of sun. Unlike most I once again am unable to break south for the winter. sigh. I truly hope this spring and summer turn epic for us out here in consolation for this amazingly dreary winter.

"Compared to the Northern Hemisphere winter, La Niña impacts over the United States in spring are typically less pronounced."

So little change to summer weather maybe.

Jl:

Will this have any statistical impact on the NW frontal winds in spring and early summer?
