WTB complete beginner rigs.

Post by Cwsox5150 »

Both my younger brothers want to learn to sail. I am 160 lbs and manage ok on my 120L, Unfortunately I only have the 1 board and 2 sails. Am interested in trying to piece together one or 2 basic rigs so I can get my younger brothers on the water. Both boys weigh 140 Lbs. Any advice tips or recommendations appreciated.

If you can find a standard diameter 400 cm mast(s) I have some beginner booms and sails for you including downhauls and universals/base plates to get it going. At that weight 4.2-5.3 is a good size
Wish less, sail more!!

Hey man thanks for the reply, that is awesome, I am currently trying to get the skillset back. My board is an old 120L with a moving mast track. Ive been borrowing a 400 mast and running my 5.0. Would love to teach my brothers but with only the one board that will be tricky. For now i'm looking to finish my basic setup off and hopefully acquire enough stuff to get the brothers out sailing with me if not this year next year.
