ISO wake foil gear

Post by expeditionbc »

Looking to try wake foiling behind the boat this summer.
Any gear out there suitable for a newb?

Hi, ask Steve from Stinger Foils and Boards, sometimes he has used stuff on stock. He is located in Whistler BC.

Almost anything works for wake foiling. Maybe piece together some 1st generation Slingshot stuff, it's not worth much.

Yes from what I have been reading all you really need is a BIG front wing and a middling mast 23-29"

Not even big. The original H2 would work fine.

People swear by the MFC Hydros 1250FW 70cm mast for Wake foiling. Top of the line.

Short attention span disorder.......stumbled across e-foiling. Looks like fun, albeit VERY expensive. Just wondering what the regulations are around this sport.....came across an article showing some guy over in kitts getting his e-foil board confiscated (ouch)

I think those things might be a fun thing to rent on a non-windy day once or twice but how quickly you’d become annoying if you got in the way of a wind/kite/wing or surfer using the physics at hand to propel. And it might become boring at some point... maybe not worth the expense. One thing I love about wind/wingfoiling is the exercise.
I like electric things like that but imho its more relative to jetskis than it is to windsports.
