Gorge like up and down and I felt like I was on the wrong gear for the first half. Super smooth swell at times. Good jumps near the end. Good fun. Warm too.

Not the Oregon Coast, but at least there weren't any shark sightings. Super hard to catch air, all the ramps were upwind and awkward. Swells lined up better at the end but the wind got flukey. But, but, but; I shouldn't complain, marathon session, arms dead, tons of fun. Back to work tomorrow :( :( :(

Down to Clover, solid on the 4.5 and swells jacked up sweetly right inside of point on very low tide, great backside wave riding with nice air drops off whitewater. No margin for error tho, sharp and shallow and into the point if messed up - didn't. Best day yet in Victoria for me!!!

    :) :D

Really cruisey conditions. Close on a couple of spocks, still timidly going for flakas. Need to just commit. Was the solo windsurfer until a NZ pro showed up out of the blue pulling nice spocks and flakas. Inspiring! Left just as the wind was cranking up for the next shift. Looking forward to hearing how Nanmoo's loop fest went.

Cloudy all day but no rain, then it cleared and was sunny by 3:00 pm, was sailing by 4:00 pm. The Fanatic Eagle is fast and is so easy to sail. Sailed with "banjohips" (he had 2 rescues today)....and Rob I made his first 5 jibes. MTM ripping it up out there too. I saw the Nitinat whale while having a beer on the beach in the sun after the session. Nice to be relaxin' at Nitinat...campsite pretty empty.

Was getting bored and restless sitting around, so went out for a nice light breeze joyride in the early afternoon. About an hour later things kicked up and got really fast. At one time counted 14 windsurfers at once blasting to the far side and back. Sooo much fun! Finally figured out the footstraps... and finally figured out how to gybe BOTH ways.

Needed more downhaul but didn't want to come in thru the inside lighness so stayed out and took the extra sail work! Got worked for the last 30mins and couldn't hold onto the sail anymore so came in and called it a day. Got some good picks off the Kelp bed off Clover! Fantastic day in pure sunshine and wind. :D Too choppy for wake boarding so took the boat up to Pine Point and found a perfect sandy, sheltered beach to launch from. Just enough wind at water's edge to fly the kite. More wind offshore but not quite enough to stay upwind and soon ended up downwind where there was less. Next time I"ll try the 12m. Nice to be out in fresh water for a change. 8)

Holes w/ nasty gusts as usual, one or two small rides. Then increasing wind filled things in a bit, gusting 30-42 which wasn't much better. Tailwalks to slog on the wave, what a diff a day makes  S Swell :?: Nope! Trudy OP on 3.4
