Great 30 seconds of foiling in warm, sunny conditions! I didn't believe MtnarG that there was no wind as he was exiting with his 8m. I shoulda followed his wisdom! Sometime persistence doesn't pay off and some of the shots you take just don't score. It's hard to beat down a positively hopeful outlook on wind. Perhaps tomorrow...

nice easy launch with a small light patch inshore.. then outside was beauty.. decent little chop to pop off but not much for waves with the flood... when it picked up couple nice loops and jumps! ran offshore when I saw a big boat coming to jump and slash their wake... fun, but hands were cold af after 45mins.. gave my crave up to Ruth for a session.. think she really enjoyed herself!! smiles everywhere

I got in the water late after a morning of mountain biking. I saw big winds and lot sof slogging, so I went with my 6m Cab. I quickly noted that I was nearly OPd in the bay and definitely well OPd even close to the point. Beyond the point had a crowd of elite riders that I did not want to become another obstacle. Lots of fun inside trying more short flags and quicker jibes. A day full of fun and sunshine - until I got kicked out of my illegal parking space by the parking police.

1st DW attempt at RB. Paddled in the lee of Clover and into the small wind swell. Surprisingly was able to stand up without too much trouble and 1st 3 attempts paddling up got onto foil but the 1675 is squirrelly AF until it reaches proper cruising speed, so it spat me off repeatedly before I could connect with the next wave. What a day in the bay! Great waves with a big ebb tide making the upwinds short and the runs long. The breeze started way south and with the big ebb tide I decided to sail up to Brochie Ledge, I managed to get up there with only spending about 5 minutes on starboard. The downwinder back was nice and warm with big steep waves kicked up by the ebb. Fabulous session wind was a little soft first 20 min then got good. Could have been on 4 at the end. Some longish almost flagged out downwinds. Used the wind into shore and flat water to practice jibes. Figured out I was not centred enough. I can weight the opposite rail and carve downwind but as soon as the apparent wind drops I loose the edge and carve the opposite way or overbalance and fall to the inside trying to force the rail down but without enough leverage. Arrived to about 12-15kts. J-Dog said it wasn't enough for his 7m and foil so we both went out on 10m. It built over the next hour until I was overpowered so decided to switch to twin tip. The wind stayed somewhere between 20 and 22 so it was light but still pretty fun. Great to see tweezer doing his rounds and bringing cheer to the west side.

Arrived early with Danno out sitting on his board at the point fish watching. MtnarG was watching Danno watching fish with his 8m rigged and ready to go. It looked light but doable so I riggd the 7.0m Sailworks Flyer a.k.a. "The Session Saver". Headed out and was foiling fairly quickly. It started to pick up after 30 mins but I kept on the 7.0m as I was too lazy to come in and try the Wing or rig down because I only had another hour and then had to beat it. Rigged the 7m thinking the wind would come up, it actually went down. Came in and rigged the 10m and while I was out on the water the wind came up! Wished I could have stayed longer as it was looking great when I left. Thanks Clive for the launch.

In over my head!
Hard sailing today, gusty, fast swell on a strong tide. The first few crashes convinced me to rush back for the helmet. Fully powered on the 3m for just over an hour. Wind dropped late afternoon and I called it a day. It ramped up again in time for the evening shift. Session debrief with HRock and Tuna. Thanks for the refreshments Ang!

Used pretty much every toy I have for this session. Started blowing hard 25+ knots. Went out on a 4.2 wing and was way over powered. Came in for the 3m but wind started to die as I got on the water. Grabbed the 4 again and played for about 30 min then it got lighter again so came in for the DW board and got some more time in. Lightened up again and came back in for a bigger foil and wing and squeezed another 20 out of it. At that point I was getting tired and making silly mistakes so called it quits. ... (more)

Missed the first wind spike. Arrived to a lull and it was a bit of work on the 3.5/780 in 15kt. Then it really amped up so gave the 2.5/580 a go but felt cold and not so dialed on the 205 tail.
