That was fun. Rode Doc's ( Thanks man ) CCCP military issue board for a while. I think it's counterfeit because it doesn't feel like military. Feels much better - more alive and faster.
Started to jibe w/o taking my back foot out of the strap. Surprisingly it makes carving much more controlled and smother. I think it's because I can engage more rail. Coming out of the jibe full speed switch stance is soo much fun!!!
Threw lots of duckies.Tons of high jumps.
Saw a couple of dolphins on the outside.

Great session. Pastadude and I arrived to find Rocdoc packing up his overpowered 5.0. 4.7 was perfect and the chop was set up nicely for jumping for 15 minutes, then it got a bit messy and lighter (marginal 4.7). The wind picked up again quite a bit later and the swell improved for great slashing/jumping/looping. 8) 2 for 2. Long session started with a huge reach from the beach to the far tip of Trial island. Must have used up all the wind with that one because on the way back it started to falter a bit. Planed on and off for about an hour, watched MF4 and Bobson pump furiously while I sipped a beer. Wind came back up at the end for 30 min of ripping with Tweezer and Bobson. Sweet!

:D :D :D A-flippin-mazing!!!! Went out at 5pm in 18kts, ripping!! BigD and MF4 arrived and it slowed to 12-15kts till 6pm then it died and we all slogged-pumped-planed-slogged again for an hour then Tweezer and the wind showed up so we went out again in 18-22kts of pure love. Sailed past a dolphin on my last run. Sunset sesh, Snowy Olympic Mountains and a fan-freakin-tastic night!! Packed up at 8pm with a beer on the beach then went to Ross Bay pub for dinner and a Ceaser!! NICE!! :D :D :D

A very nice zen session (solo) day at the lake. Suprisingly windy for what looked like a meh day. Pulsing winds at times gave me a downwinder to the boat docks once, but that aside, ~90% of the session on a 95L/6.0. Can't wait for Nitinaht lake to be open!!

Played with Bobson, BigD, and Tweezer went out as I came in. Oh yeah, sailed over a weird bunch of tiny, tiny fish that looked like a huge sheet of kelp blade as I came up to it.

Odd launching winds at beach, but fairly decent once out there. A little light at first, but came at times to allow for some jumping and good times. Others out on 10's through 16's.
Went back and forth between the Mako 150 and the New Mako 134. Very different boards, but I can honestly say they are my two favourite production boards. The little one goes upwind like crazy, and holds its edge much better than many boards its size. It is a light board on the feet.

:D Got there at 2pm to find Betty Ann deciding what to rig. I went with the 5.5 and did alot of slog and plane in the marginal wind. BA sacrificed herself to the wind gods and the wind finally kicked in around 4pm. Art and I sailed till 6:30 and Rudy joined us for awhile. Got down there to no one on the beach exept a group of vagrants sleeping on the beach.
Had to fight with the wind for a short while(ride&hike), but then it kicked in. By the time I came in it was too much for the 14.
Time to try new things!
Rode toeside today, and did my first toside to heelside turn. Slow but succesfull. 8)
Jumping is getting better as well, still not to high but landing and riding away. (More anyway.)

Superb after work session. About the same wind as lame Sunday I think but POWERED on the bigger gear. Planed through the first two jibes, goofed something up on all the rest, but its still nice to get around a couple properly! Dallas came out to play and wanted to go across the Strait it seemed. I followed on a very long tack, but I started to hurt!

Well, missed another one. Left the lake w/ 16M kiting conditions to score Cook...nothing....Not a hope, 3 knots from fun, a few meager reaches, one 10m planing run and it was over but the kelp-dragging slogg home :? Highlight watching learning kiter getting dragged across reef, watch him hop up onto it, run over it and keep going :P staying dry w/ stairclimber exercise to finish :roll:

Nukin! Can you say fog bank. It was windy all day, and into the night... Lost of decent jumps, excellent starboard planing jibes, lots of smiles. Downwind zone had much nicer waves. I was wiped out at the end - sleeeeep. Janetfish's first freshwater day this year... 6.0/1hr 5.5/2hr 5.0/2.5hrs

Cruised to the rivermouth, hopped around a bit & noted rig about to break at various pts, headed upwind quickly, a bit under for 4.8 so 5.3'ed it for 1hr, then 4hrs 4.8 blasting around. Couldda sailed til dark on it too. Sadly waves never built bigger but saw tons of monkeys everywhere :P Finally made a smooth one on starbrd :roll:
2 kites, 5 sails at one point, whew it's packed :twisted:

Great first try at Gordons. Put up the 13m to get overpowered right away - wind on beach at the point is way lighter that on water. Headed out with 9m to the outside (the inside had almost died while downsizing:roll: ) to see what was going on with the windsurfes to encounter a tumultuous playground of swell and big wind. Went back in to tell Windpendent the inside had died and launch his 8, then returned to smash up some more outside. Smoothish water and big and steep surfable swell with no-brainer jumping ... (more)
