Arrived at Gordo's to find lots of wind (5.0), but no one home. Figured the boys were checking out the other spot , so tore off for the next beach. Mark and Art were standing on the beach in 20 knots......and it was flat. Back to G-spot. Rigged the 5.5 and the wind was flukey for the first bit. Surprised how well the Quatro handled the 5.5 in light conditions. Planes faster than my big board! Wind picked up later and had some fun freestyle conditions on the outside and good jumping inside. :D :D solid Kook session. Sun, lots of good vibe on the water. Great forward ramps at first. Got the ejection seat treatment on one loop :oops: Zero logs was a treat. No eel grass yet. Saw Kus nail a smooth monkey jibe. Looked sweet.
Rode the Evo for a bit until I blew out a footstrap screw on forward landing. :o :x :x Not sure how to remove a stainless steel screw from the board :?

aborted my first attempt to drive out there when i realized the harness wasnt onboard, second attempt got me rigged by five or a bit later.
Saw art herd and a few others heading back in as i drove out, and the only vehicle at gordos left when i arrived, so i had the place to myself, and it was nicely over 25 knots for a couple of hours before the sun got low.

Spun out a lot especially going fast didn't fix my harness lines, I think they were too far foreward. Often the only one out, no issues with shoulder checks!

It started light on the inside and filled in later so that it was a full 20 to the beach and 25 + on the outside. I got my big airtime on my 6.0 and I was super over powered on the outside. I was very well powered on the 5.2 and could have used a 4.7 after an hour because the wind came up.
• I need a thicker wet suit. Very cold ... I got tired easily
• Bigest airtime I have ever had. 5 feet clear off the ocean off a 4' wave wall
• Current was strong at the beginning before the tide changed/

Awsome sunny day, wind was good when i got there but slowly died off over a 3 hour period,was trying to learn how to body drag upwind but i dont think it was windy enough.Had a few friends come down to fly there trainer kites and Jens showed up did a wind reading it died off to 8knots when i was packin up.all in all it was ok got to fly my bigger kite and do some body dragging.I have allot to learn yet thats for sure,But thats part of the fun i guess.

started out having fun on the big board, mostly powered. :D Hit some wood, got chucked. about 15 mins later Winddoc noticed a hole in the rail (ugh - mast hit when getting chucked :o :x :( :( ). BIG thanks to Winddoc for noticing :!: So, out comes small board, powered for about 15 mins then the bubble formed and shut things down. shudda gone to Gordos, no wood, and no bubble. Warm near the end.
