:D :D :D Fantastic session!! Arrived to Sun and 25kts so I rigged small. Rain squall went thru and killed it for 5 minutes. Then sunny and warm and 20kts with gusts to 25ish. Played around in the bay mostly but made a few long runs waaaaay out near the tall ships that went by. A great day to be out sailing. Too gusty to head up to Kook but saw lots of tiny sails up there. Super day!! :P :P :P

Dying as I arrived, turned into Yo-Yo/squall sesh, OP a lot, once got blown totally off the water, then back to pump&ride. Mostly 5.8 was the sail 4 me tho 5.3 mighta done it too :roll: A few nice wave rides, no jumps to speak of, weird wind. Made couple of monkeys in wavelets very smoothly, I'm proud now :twisted: :roll: Sun, hail, rain, cold, warm, windy, not...The rest of it: "nice to get out" :wink: At one time 10 sails on water was a switch :P

Went to Maui for my brother's wedding...which meant not many chances to sail plus the wind was only sailable 2/7 days.
I started off at Lowers...I am not sure at this point why people sail down there. I think b/c the swell was so big it was just closing out, combine that with some up and down wind...anyway I had a pretty good swim.
Regrouped my thoughts and went where I should have been the entire time...UPPERS!!!! Uppers was easily logo to mast high with solid 5.0 wind. No big airs or backs or a ... (more)

I probably shouldn't log this but I was out on the windsurf board and we've been talking about SUP. Fun first time, worked on the glide, went about 4 km with little trouble didn't fall off until at the end when I was trying stepping back on the board to spin it. Did a bunch of 360s without falling, then fell. Lost my glasses as a result :cry: Gotta check the tide tables, at least I know where they are. what a doofus. 6 degrees is too cold for April. Wind really up and down, went from schlogging (gliding :) ) to OP on a flat 5.8. Started with gloves, blew out the forearms, then left the gloves off but higher wind and a big cloud made my hands too cold to feel anything. Sooo close to planing out of a couple of gybes. Sailed with BigD and Anthony on their GO boards.

Arrived with RD a bit late to see Adrian and Dave chilling out on the beach in the warm sun. Damn, missed it! Waited a while and Piper's came through with some fun (but marginal) 5.5 sailing. A bit more north in the wind would have been OK, but a fine big gear day in the sun. Janetfish made an appearance otw, and had an OK time Go/6.0. I tried the 111/7.5 three times, but the low end of the wind range seemed to keep me sllllooooogggging at each attempt. GO/7.5 was the right combo. Nice!!

Really South at cook, but very very consistent wind. Not much chop out there so was easy to push speed a bit. Perfectly Lit on 14m kite, but reminded once again how much slower the bigger kites are in the sky when i tried to pop for jumps. Rode till my hands couldnt grip the bar any longer, great day. :)

Started out fully lit on 10 for about 2 hours of rippin, then just turned lully, gusty, churney and unpredictable. came in to get on 20 meter lines for a little easier handling on the 10, wind decided to jack to 35 knots and the 10 minute kite landing was on.

great 10m kiting, up and down at times but mostly good stuff. a bit cold on the hands but not bad at all. windusrfers took over when it went 35+ at times. i can feel it coming.....
