Wind was a bit funky 1st session but really enjoyed the new MA1000. Amazing how early it gets going and turns really well. Some decent jumps but the wind never fully ramped to forecast potential. Lots of the crew out, sunny, warm. Stoked!

Good winds at the beginning. Really easy conditions and then it got a little inconsistent and then dropped off. Had to paddle in. Using the 890. Technical note. Mast way to forward. Tons of lift at no stability.

Went straight from work to RB and caught possibly the best window of the afternoon shift. Beautiful weather and had Mr. Blue Sky (ELO) playing all the time in my head for some reason. Idefix coming off water, all grins and giggles (must have been the no work crew nooner beers they share! ) Some easy peasy conditions with some nice gentle waves off the point. A couple sections holding and carrying for distance just outside and downwind of point too - nice!! Fellow wingers on seen were Le Tuna Mange, late dat ... (more)

Arrived to the 'Do not work gang' coming in because lack of wind. I went out on my 7.0m to no foiling for 20 mins. Came back and chatted on the beach and checked out the 'Mattpope-mobile'. Felt a gust so followed Mtnarg out with his 8m. To a couple mins to get foiling but managed to foil 90% of the time for the next 90 mins. Felt like it was dying so came in, the rest followed and The Drunken Monkey brought out some beverages to rehydrate. They stayed, I left apparently more wind arrived later. Lots ... (more)

Got to Ross and got the prime parking spot, and the entire session seemed all like that. It was light so I rigged the big Coyote 7.4 that I hadn't sailed for two years. Effortlessly foiled off the beach, sailed it for 20 minutes, some dry gybes, and went in to rig down. Dithered between 6.0 and 5.3 and delayed just long enough that the 5.3 was perfect. Made some clean foiling gybes, mostly way outside on the bigger swell, and a bunch of touch and go ones. Had some of my most fun downwinders ever, improv ... (more)

Great session on my Tiki until I got separated from it and lost sight of it. Came in and grabbed my Duke to go looking for it. It made it to shore and a good Samaritan found it and messaged me but for a reason unknown to me decided to leave it on the sidewalk on Dallas road. I have an Airtag on it and confirmed it was where he said he left it but I guess someone thought it was a freebie and now it is gone. I set the Airtag to lost and unfortunately haven't got a ping yet. I am kind of bummed out for wh ... (more)

Fantastic multi-session day with MtnarG, Bobson, Gautam, Idefix, and Paul. There were a few stops and starts with fickle winds with a well-timed mid-afternoon cold bevy break after the second session. Crazy swell action at Clover Pt was interesting to play in. Got a few more attempts at foiling the swells. Mixed results but fun process to learn this. I had to stop as the late shift was coming in with cramping in my noodle forearms. Must drink water..... Arrived just after TunaCan. Rigged the 6m and had a good session till it started to die down. Switched to the 8m and big foil. It continued to die down. Hung around the beach with the team. Eventually it came back off Clover Pt, so we got a bunch more. Eventually 3 hours on the water took its toll. Thought about going back out, but decided to call it quits.

Stupid windy for a 4.2. Mode still goes upwind well and can even tack into 35kn, but I should probably get a 3m to avoid killing the 4.2.

Seaweed City! I guess with all this warm sunny weather the seaweed and kelp beds are really blooming, the only issue is I have to remember were they are all located again as the first part of my session was trying to get my foil untangled and ended up crashing the kite and restarting over again. Ended up managing a decent short session with the sunsetting in the distance, and a fun crew to share the water with.

One for the books. Got to the spot early to find very spotty wind. Really wanted to ride the 12 after slogging on the 14 the last few weeks. Pumped it up, waited an half an hour, then pumped up the 14, as soon as I launched the 14 wind started cranking (classic). Landed, pumped and launched the 12 again. Great sesh to follow, beautiful sunset, great crew. Can't wait to do it all again tomorrow!

Gambled on a day trip with Bougie to Nitinat. Lucked out with a gusty outflow ranging from 5-20kts. Little bit of an adventure trying to find a good launch spot with the campground closed, but with some pro tips from Tweezer and Teabag we were able to make it work. Pretty surreal being the only two on the water up there... Kept the footstraps on and launched and landed a few jumps which I was happy about. Day trips up there are a mission, but sure worth it when it all works out. Excited for more lake sessio ... (more)

Fantastic sun and warmth. Terrible winds. 13kts at RVYC seduced me into giving CP a try. I lucked out and got one foiling run to the middle, and then it all died. I finally got to use my emergency paddle! Nice to see Bobson find some puffs out by JJI.

Going 20kts in about 10kts of wind is pretty sweet. Maybe the gusts were 11 or 12kts.? Arrived to H-Rock paddling in glass. Looked like there were some gusts over on the 10 mile point side. Tweez and ULR were throwing rocks as a gaggle (4) of us headed out to try out luck. No wetsuit today, just shorts and rawhide, so nice! I schlogged over to Jemmy Jones and got some some rides in the gusts and who knew there was a drone circling over there. As I headed back it was getting lighter <5 kts and Greg (need ... (more)

I had a very nice, but short, session at Agate Beach. When I got there, people's umbrellas were blowing away, the flag was flapping, and there were whitecaps. By the time I got on the water it was a bit lighter. Had a very nice half hour of foiling, then it shut down.

Fun morning on the water. Joined by Scott winging. A few swells at the end of session. Parking lot full when I left at 12pm and a food truck arrived and parked by the no parking signs by the path to the washrooms. I think it is going to be a busy summer at Piper's. Good thing our windsurfing starts in the am when there are some parking spots available.

Sailpast Saturday. 25 sailboats & 25 paddkers on the water in a traditional commodore salute followed by some fun racing. Did ok wrt top 3 finishes on uncorrected times but rating corrections killed me finishing last as is normal. X class sailboard Ratings are set for 150lb Sailors and my extra 60lbs does not help one bit. But who cares, its good fun anyway.

Checked out Cherry Point after a side job in the area to see if there was a Northern puff. Sure enough there was so I rigged up ASAP and sailed it while it was sailable. Didn't last long though...

Out with usual light wind suspects, Only got on foil 4-5 times and with a lot of work and a lot of pumping to keep going. Just missed the earlier gale of 12 knots.

Out with my son on his first lesson. Decent in the puffs but typical lake wind. Puffy and squirrelly. Fresh water is sooo nice and the weather is fantastic.

New board and new carbon mast on a marginal day but I made it work. Really like the new Axis Froth but I'm surprised I have to have my axis foil all the way forward in the track box. I'm almost all the way back on my 105L KT wing drifter. Really good release from the water and touch downs were easy to recover from. Can't wait for a windier day so I can use my smaller foils. Props to highrocker for finding my helmet today.
