Great sesh! Few runs overpowered on 4.0 in a squall so downsized to 3 and scored a couple ripping rides till it backed off to 4.0 again. I love the 3.0. So easy to throw around riding swell. Felt pretty dialled in considering its been a while away from the wing. Tofino cross training helped. Sorry for almost running you down Gmac.

Fun, mellow and easy day. Gybes have really come together lately and I was rarely in the water unless I was pushing hard on a carve.

Guess it's time to start working on tacks to keep progressing.

Madian voyage for my new foil set up and really enjoyed it. Was a little over powered at times and the session was shorter than expected when a 30kt + Squall dragged me, somewhat controllably, back to shore were I managed not to destroy my new foil on the clover rocks and safely landed thanks to Clive's help. Nice to see so many people out.

Up n down wind, a little underpowered at times, but a half hour 30kt squall made me glad to have the 4m. That was highlight, long swell rides. Also explored above clover, also nice swell up there. Lotsa peeps out.

Challenging day for me with fickle conditions in trying to hang with Danno and MtnarG. Started with 5m. I switched to 6m as Danno came back in to go bigger. Did laps from the beach to the Clover Pt. playground and was able to manage the swell. Tried some more foiling the swells and felt the push a few times without engaging the wing. Switched gopro battery when a crazy squall descended and had me terrified. I switched to Cab5 and that was really a better choice for the higher winds. Just more work to get up ... (more)

Used almost every toy in my kit today. Started on my big foil and changed wings multiple times as the wind played with us. At the end i switch down to my hps930 and it was a better choice for the conditions but my arms were done. Good day with better stong side jibes. Botched a few foot switches for some disappointing crashes but getting more consistent.

Finally lined up for a good session in fun conditions. 4 was perfect except for some squall events during which I waited on the beach instead of stressing my already sore shoulder. The RB roller coaster loop never fails to fill my bucket. Lots of peeps ripping and also got to catch my first visiting kite.

The wind was playing April Fools' Day jokes today. Forecast called for 20-ish knots with a pop in the mid-afternoon but the pop came earlier and more than once. I was wary though because the wind seemed cold and unstable, with popcorn clouds in the satellite images. It was not one of those lovely afternoon westerly thermals! I launched a 12m comfortably and decided to take my Tiki for a spin but after two tacks I came in for my Duke b/c it was quite choppy which the Tiki can handle but that is not what ... (more)

One of the best RBFC sessions yet. Both UP and OP on the 4.0 but the 4.0 was definitely the best choice for me today. Some very powered wave rides felt really good and fast. Squalls rolling through, prob ~35 knots, and couple lulls to sub 20 but very fun and almost always foiling.

Noticed when pumping up the 4.0, which is to be pumped to 7.5psi, that my Duotone pump that goes to 8psi max actually stops moving at ~7.4psi, so its quite possible my recent KT Orange popped LE event was actually totally user ... (more)

Arrived too early at 3rd Ave with wind up and down so spent just as much time walking upwind as riding down wind on 8m+surfboard. Even 12m kiters couldn't stay upwind.

Mike, Michael and Andrew - Hate to rub it in ... but I will. After you left (and I almost did) white caps started forming so I re-pumped my 8m for an additional 2 hrs (4-6pm) wave session in SSE 20-25 with Jordan and Shabi

Happy to battle the Massey tunnel after such a great session ... even packed a dry kite.

Sartet out with the 10m but was underpowered closer to shore. Switch to 12m, enough power close to shore but to overpowered off shore, wind sartet to be very gusty, quite a rodeo ride. Surfed some nice swells further out.

Much lighter than expected, but it was still nice to be back out in Boundary Bay after 2 months off. It was a lot of work to get going at times but I still managed to catch a few waves. I need a bigger foil for these light wind days, the 730 is too much work.

Last day in Tuff City. SE developed, waves built nicely. Took 5m out initially but felt OP'd on my maiden ride of the KT Ginxu (Thanks Dirty Mermaid Watersports and Vickey/KT!!). Had a few runs just to feel the balance of the board out before heading in and grabbing 4M. Tore the wrapper off the new 4m, pumped up and raced back to the water which was now 25+ and 6' swell. The improvements on the new KT wings are noticeable and the handles are so nice to use. The Ginxu launches incredibly fast; faster than an ... (more)

8/10 day at RB with RuppDog and MtnarG. Cab6 was a bit overpowered, but I am both lazy and poor at pumping for lift. Sunshine felt great. I caught no gybes but the fun I had was next level. I even started trying to just foil the swells while luffing the wing. Cool concept still under construction. The late shift was just coming in as I was leaving. Still lots to be had out there. There was a whole lot of flat, hi-powered water seaching for Bobson.

Nice after work session. Nice to have a group on the windward side of clover. Some wingers made their way around and a bunch of kiters were all mixing it up with a large sea lion who was claiming his territory. A bit gusty and variable from NW to W but overall very enjoyable.
