Arrived early and watched it increase to enough for the 5.2m. LET'S GOOOO!!! Took a minute to get it up and there was a solid line of wind off the point but out past the washing machine tide swirls there wasn't as much. When will I learn not to go out that far. Started similar to yesterday: things seemed a tad light, then some wind came in, a few foiling runs, then the wind died. BWD, Danno and I bobbed around for a bit, then the wind came back and fortunately stayed. I'd thought I'd be OP'd on my 7m, but it actually felt great for the whole session. Got a solid hour of foiling before I needed to pack up and get home for daddy duty. Lots of fun passes with Bobson, Danno, BWD, and Ang!

Settled for the 2nd executive parking spot, Bobson on the horizon doing his thing. Classic Ross bay in that it went from - 14 to 2 to 12 and back to 2. Had a short session on larger gear. Late going' forgot to close my dry suite' dummy. Was wet in a dry suit. Picked the wrong size kite with the surfboard. Should have used an 11m kite, maybe even my 10m. It was not my best session. Kiting on a surfboard is a brand new adventure. It is different than a twin tip. Need to let the fins do the work, not the edge. Ran into Bobson on the ride home from work and was inspired to return for post-dinner session. Arrived a few hours later to Bobson packing up, and Rupert & DocMark eagerly awaiting a fresh wind line that was approaching. Rupert launched and made it look easy so I rigged my big wing to join the fun. A few foiling runs then wiped out on a gybe attempt right into the Clover Point washing machine ... aaaaaand then the wind shut down. Took a quick peak at the Webcam and saw some wind so decided to go even though the forecast was less than stunning. Arrived at 4:15pm to 10-12kts on inside and maybe 15ish outside. Rigged up quick, had a quick chat with The Pope about his Toeside then hit the water. Gusty, with holes and shifts. More holes than filled in after 230. Struggled for an hour to get to the cliffs, then had good wind for an hour before I was stuck there in diminishing returns. Slogged back to the beach in horrible chop before it filled in again around 330. Not the session I hopped for. Can't win them all. Scratched my pristine foil on submerged rocks upon launching in low tide, which didn't help.

Wow just wow. Amazing waves lit on the 3m the whole time. Super long smooth swells half way out all afternoon and at head height at the bottom of the bay at the end. Some said it doesn't get any better at RB. Tried out Paul's Sab 940 set up, super fun probably going to pick one up. Ross Bay Pub for dinner with Tuna after, both of us kid free this week.

Great to be out after quite a few weeks. Nice to see wind in Pat Bay again..!
~15 mins OP on the 5m ~25 knots, then ~45 mins perfect with surprisingly decent waves from the WNW, just North enough to get some of that fetch towards Cow Bay. Fun S turns on port back into the bay and then long hitches up above the CG docks on Starboard and repeat.
Then ~20 mins slog as it died <15knots.
No complaints! Fun in the home bay. Hope everyone had a great time at RB. Miss seeing you all rip.

Pulling up to RB and seeing the large swell rolling into the bay was breathtaking. The on-foil experience also did not disappoint. +20kts and often op'd on the 4m, I often just went up to the point where the winds started to nuke and just jibe onto those rollers and ride them nearly all the way to the beach with only a couple of pulls on the wing. First nuker in many sessions. Big breaking swell with endless glides and leg burning turns. Should have been on 2.5 but no harness lines yet on that wing and 3.5 with harness lines was easy to crank upwind. Felt pretty dailed considering it's been a while since winging these conditions.

The hatchery comes to RB!! Super glad I wore my 5/4 suit as water was cold and lots of high impact crashes. Felt like I was pushing the limits on the MA1225 foil - so versatile to withstand the waist high waves and speeds! Everybody looked to be pushing themselves in the conditions lifting the stoke levels up!! Going to be some sore sailors walking around tomorrow. Fraser and I hit RBP for burgers and pints to debrief, have one convert, will work on getting more.

Intense RB! It took me a while to get used to the combo of 1225 front wing and 3m hand wing, neither of which I've used very much. I started getting the hang of it and ventured out into the bigger swells and got knocked down a few times. I'm finding I can get back up and foiling after wipeouts much easier and quicker than I used to -- in conditions like today it seemed essential.
