I would say this is the lower limit of the 17m. Cheap Amazon anemometer said 4.8-6.2 knots at ground level. Maybe a little more higher up? Used line extensions and surfboard, was almost able to mow the lawn but lost ground at each transition. Session ended when I lost 2 fins in shallow water. But I found them and I think I can put them back on :D
Edit: Put the fins back on and went back out after lunch and wind was 6 gusting to 8. Mowed the lawn through herring sperm water and a colony of sea lions... kind of smelly. But nice to be on the water anyway!
