Was it worthwhile going out? Yes.
Gorgeous day to be on the water and I don't have a yacht. Baker glowing to the east, tacked into Cadboro to just below the yacht club, then flipped the dagger up and broad reached/tacked downwind to check out the billionaire's houses along the waterfront. Why do several have porte cochere on the seaward side? Nouveau riche I guess. I'd never been able to get a good look at them before, always watching the wind and trying not to fall. A couple of puffs had me thinking about planing - but it was just nice and mellow (maybe a bit of Serenity? :roll: ). Nice to stay completely dry (Kus can do this on a 90 litre). I'll get more adventurous (work on those helitacks etc) when its warmer.
Wish I'd hit the spot at 10 and had some planing wind, but hey.
