After sitting on the fence at Cook watching and chatting after 5, decided the wind might be gone for using small stuff. Went to Ross with the big board and sensibly rigged for gusts. Several nice runs on the outside then a big black cloud came in with a roar. Some survival runs with too much sail even in the bay and the hands got too cold and it tried to hail. I see Ogden was logging 40 knots at the time, I know the 5.8 was a handful! I decieded to quit and of course by the time I was packed up the wind had dropped and the sun was out. It was past supper time anyway!
