:lol: somewhat funny story: my wife wanted me to go down to victoria thursday eve for a nurses' retirement party, i said sure thing lets stay down there for some B&B action knowing too it was going to nuke SE all day friday. So all goes great and we are breakfasting this morning watching the trees shake down in oak bay. at about 9am i go down to willows, rig up a 4.7 and then watch the wind completely quit. damn. (probably could have headed out to IV) now the day is screwed because we have to go catch a ferry to visit her brother and sis-in-law this weekend in vancouver.
so, driving home over the malahat the phone rings. turns out theyve caught a gastro bug and have been puking and shitting themselves all morning. i briefly express a look of concern then try to contain myself as the trip is called off and I just happen to be heading northward towards CB already loaded up with gear. :twisted: anyway i guess some times things just happen for a reason and thats how i ended up slashing sweet CB waves all afternoon.
there was a bit of a scare there when my top-haul cap broke but i was able to rig it back well enough to slog in. Great evening efforts by clam sandwich johnny, windsurfish, dunkinguy, bean, Gwind, mattdog and the other kite guy. all you other slackers took off just as it got good :wink: just kidding.
