Headed up island and met up with Clayton at San Pareil. Good news there was no rain, bad news it was initially really gusty. Rigged to 12m but had a tough time getting the kite to stay in the air in the gusty conditions initially until I got about 50 yards out and the wind become more consistent and really strong. Played a bit with both the surfboard and foil (still lots to learn on the foil), ended up switching the kite for a 9m as it was way too strong for the 12m. The wind filled in a bit more along the shoreline and become less gusty and it ended up being a fun session. Note to self - Self launching in those gusty conditions at high tide with beach break can be challenging ;) Accidentally turned off the GPS tracker on my phone while playing with it on the water, opps.
