Friday the 13th proved to be my lucky day! Fedex called 15 min before I left for CB with BWD to let me know my new custom board had arrived 4 days early! Sweet! Dave and I scored the AM/early-ish afternoon session in the biggest waves I've ever seen at CB. Epic is a term that's over used but this day was the best I've ever had on the Island. To score a day like this with a brand new made for me wave board was just too perfect. Dave Strang (sp?) and I scored the 2 largest outside waves I've seen at CB, and both were over mast high before they reached the sand bar  I don't often yell on the water, but I couldn't shut up with the rush of rocketing down the glassy face of a mast plus high macker! Once these two waves broke, they cleaned out the entire sailing area of chop and waves for a couple of minutes. Generally the waves were bigger than any day I've seen yet at CB. I landed a a bunch of backs today but felt too powered up to really huck any forwards off of the big ramps  . Ozy was smacking the lower point waves savagely and with so much hate he snapped his little JP and Paul threw a great pushy off of an over head wave just ahead of me. I got worked hard by some Florence-esque meaty waves and did the sprint swim in my baggy suit for my gear 3 times before heading back to the main sailing area nearly exhausted with my tail between my legs. BWD was getting tons of turns on the waves today and big jumps as well. Shuvits felt like they were really coming along today. What a day to remember! Unfortunately I was sailing the entire time and had to leave right away; so no photos. Dang! Love the Quatro.
