Three pleasant runs on the Seatrend (apart from a hard catapault when the rail bit after straightening out a spinout), came in for a short break and it went dead on the inside. THought the Kona would guarantee it filling in. Five-oh is too little for the big board except in the mid-20s outside. Biggest waves I think I've been in! Just crossed them the once, and only in the front footstrap; it was humbling. Just as glad to let the weight of the board stay connected to the water, jumping would have been a bit over my level. Letting the board surf around the jibe with a neutral sail was fun. Rest of the time was meh. Should have rigged 5.8.
Good to see Shred Betty out! Its coming up mothers day after all! Bring on the women!
