Got there and the only one there was Lud(chris). He'd already been to JR, and just showed up a little before me. Was about to leave to, because no one was there.
I said, oh no.. there commin. And they did. When I left cars lined the road.
Finally met Mattdog, what a first session at Gordon's eh?
We did the you launch me, then when your ready, I'll come back and launch you thing twice.
We had to come in and down size our kites, he even landed me with his kite in the air, so I could fix a line snafoo on the 8.
After I down sized to my 8, the wind shut off on the inside. I could see Mattdog going big waayy on the outside, but I was having to pump my kite like a mad man. Just to stay up on a plane. I new I was missing something out there, but damn!
I didn't know how big the swell was out there otherwise I'd have fought harder to get out there.
As it was, I had to be back in town to do an early Mothers day thing.
So I came back in and packed up.
We launched at the creek mouth. Just the two of us. Looked like all the other kiters launched from Martins. But JL fought his way upwind to say hi.
The swell I did get was good, but I sure wish I'd gotten to the far outside. :evil: But then I might have been it trouble at home.
Seems like I'm doing something new every session these days. Feels good.
