First day back from 3 weeks surfing with the family in Costa Rica and it was a big one!! Stopped by Clover on my way home from work to see Windoc shredding as per usual, while Tweezer, BWD, Grant, and Oak Bay Local watched it nuke. Looking Pretty gnarly out there, so I took my time went and had lunch and got my gear. Came back, still 40+ jeez. RBFC crew out there tho! Sat and watched for another 30 mins till I saw trial start to dip down into the 30's and thought that would be more reasonable. Pumped 3.5 and got out there. First hour got flogged and took me a bit to get a groove going. Second hour wind dropped to more reasonable and was able to string a couple swell rides together. Lots of big crashes as I am still figuring out how to ride the swell on the foil. My 110l Takuma board is way to big for me now, going to order the 80L today. Hopefully more wind this afternoon!
