10mins in I'm finally warming up and go for a stupid little jump off one of the largest swells in the middle of the channel and crash my kite.. it gets engulfed by the same 30ft wave and explodes.. the lines snap in tension and must've damaged the safety line.. of course I attempt to release the safety and it flies away.. able to grab my board behind me on the gnar swell...
luckily Jemerson is near by saw what happened and was able to assist.. I could've been lost at sea!
I'm going to miss that kite.. had some amazing sessions on it but its totally done!
great session after that on a borrowed 7m.. some great swell and waves were awesome on the outer sand bar.. couple 8ft ers!! finally a proper Sou'easter!!!
