Couldn't get off work till 3:45pm so raced to Willows but alas I was too late. Looked like 10-12kt gusts when I arrived. Danno and I rigged at the same time. I got out first and tried hard for 30 mins heading towards the wind but not enough to foil so I turned around out by 1st channel marker and headed straight downwind back. Danno was already back and waited nicely by his car to ensure I made it back. Got to within 100m of the beach before the wind completely shut off to 0. Pumped sail the last 100m thankfully the 7.0m has some grunt pumping in 0 wind. That is when the 150 litre board is well worth the money.
