Glorious sunny warm morning over at Discovery/Chatham Islands. Wind picked up a bit paddling back to Cattle Point, so I moved to Ross Bay. Rigged the 5.0 and it just wasn't enough. Ross Bay a gyre of swirling logs and junk, and a vortex where anyone's hopes of foiling downwind of Clover evaporated with futile furious pumping. Looked great up to windward near the point. Should have just rigged the 6 windfoil. Foiled for a few seconds. Should have foiled another time, felt enough, on falling found out my board leash had got wrapped around the mast launching. Next time!
