Amazing!! arrived at 10am and saw Danno out and saw his post saying he was overpowered on his 5m so went back out on his 4m. Rupp and RBLocal showed up and HighRocker a couple mins later. Yes, it was ON!! RBLocal was first out on his 4m and was ripping, I followed on my flattened 4.5m Flyer. Perfect choice. 2-3ft swell coming through with a solid 20kts of wind. It was like a playground but instead of kids there were Wingers(and me). More Wings showed up, MtnarG, Scott and Frazier?? I after 50kms I came to have a snack and a drink because riding waves out of the harness is a lot of work. I'm not sure how you Wingers do it without a harness. Crazy!! Anyways, headed back out and the swell had built to 3-4ft but wind still at 20kts, almost Nitinaht like steady wind. The temp wasn't too bad either, no gloves, no hood and a 4-3 wetsuit....although never really getting wet I guess I could have been in my X-Lrg speedo. So much fun playing in the swell with others. RBLocal boosting some fantastic jumps, maybe 6-8ft high. Danno riding the swell all the way down to the islands and Rupp-Dogg ripping fast with HighRocker doing 'The Drunken Monkey' with a huge smile on his face. After 70kms, I looked around and everyone was gone except 2 Wingers I didn't recognize that were further downwind so I pulled the plug as well. This was one of my favourite sessions since summer. Took about 1 hour and 40 mins door to beach, traffic was pretty quiet heading up at 8:30am but pretty busy on the way back at 2:30pm.
