    A sort of fun day at Clover, with the wind up and down. I pumped my biggest kite and took my biggest board (my Tiki) and thought it was going to be great because I had lots of power to start. But after 20 minutes or so, the wind lulled to the point that I felt lucky to get back to the Clover Point lawn. I hung out with Simon for half an hour waiting for the wind to come back. I was delighted that my son and his girlfriend showed as I was waiting for wind, we had a nice chat. The wind did return and I went out again on the big kite but with the old Duke this time. The wind was better than my first attempt and I enjoyed a solid 30 minute or so session with the big kite pulling really nicely. But the wind lulled again and Simon and I were forced to shore. I felt that I had got enough and didn't want to play the wind/lull game a third time. I let Simon put the kite up during the lull to get a feel for the 14.5 A-series Flite. The wind came up again and I invited Simon to take the kite out for a spin. He was out for maybe 10 minutes before he was forced to shore by another lull. Anyway, I packed up and felt pretty glad about it all.
