Check this one out:

63mpg/4.5 l/100 km
The name "Solo" implies you have to find ways to amuse yourself in the 6' 4" bed though.

4.5 l per 100 - that motor home is better than a Smart car! Couldn't fit a Kona One inside though!

You can buy even at $2/litre a whole ton of fuel for the old rig for the $50k you will spend on a new vehicle....at a buck a Liter as right now you can drive for 250000km if you own a paid off gas hog like my old van (which is worth nothing) at 20L/100km....most hogs get even better than that.
If you scream: hey, my new rig can easily go 250,000km, your rig does also use fuel, probably around 5-10L/100 at least. So it'll be around 500000km by the time you are even at about the time your new rig is also worth nothing. This not considering that your parts will be WAAAAAY more $$ for the new rig and you sacrifice space and comfort, not to mention all the board dings when your gear doesn't fit.....like I just crushed the tail end of my new board cuz the pick-up box is now shorter.
My only considerations have been environmental conscience and safety items such as curtain and dual front airbags. So I use my shiny new work truck and car pool once a blue moon
BTW: JL, there is a reason GM is broke, they have no planning mind

http://www.ford.ca/app/commercial/en/ve ... connect.do Of course the brain trust @ Ford N.A. wouldn't bring us the European 2007 van of the year . ( Named 'transit' as well just to confuse) OR a fuel efficient diesel with manual trans. option.

can't wait for the FIAT Ducato van if they merge with one of the big three, it is awesome and has super reviews
5 speed, diesel, 180km/hr+ and better stats than the Sprinter

for those with a low budget and into propane, this is a killer deal by the sounds of it

you'll want a nice powerful new alternator to charge that camper battery anyway and heater cores are a dime a dozen

This new vehicle looks like it would be a cool Windsurfmobile:

Those are getting panned generally MTM. THey are TINY compared to a Sprinter. Too bad the Fiat isn't being imported yet.
