Agreed - just go. Last year - on the weekend - Emmanuelle and I were there -alone- in sunny, windy, conditions. At the very least you can meditate under the big trees.

This is Randy's site, he has some Nitnat information in case you want to over-analyze , some of the links are broken but the info is good.
If you see fog creeping up the coast bring your small gear. On Monday we had a nice fog bank and 30+ knots. Without fog count on low-mid 20's if the temp diff looks good.
