Today Sunday, we did see the clearing that the Windy model predicted. However, the wind did not pick up as much as some of us would have liked. Foilers had fun though…
One more day of rain, and we will have sunshine and perfect wind until Thanks Giving…
Seriously, we are expecting some clear skies on Tuesday, however the temperature difference will be minimal because of how wet every thing is. Evaporative cooling will prevent a good temperature gradient to develop. But at this point we will take any wind that will develop.

Well, Monday was one of the wettest days I have ever experienced at the lake. But this is it, come midnight, we will throw the switch from rain to sunshine… of course there will be no sunshine at midnight, but you understand what I mean.
But… just because we will have a mixture of sun and clouds, and no rain, on Tuesday does not mean we will have the wind back. The temperature difference between the coast and inland is minimal.
There is a west wind blowing at the Juan de Fuca Strait west entrance. Maybe the wind will push up the lake, we will see. For now, we are all happy that it will stop raining in a few hours.

Epic day on the lake. Early start, for end of August, Initially a nice solid strong breeze. Then the afterburner kicked in, close to near gale winds, 30 knots plus. Awesome day on the lake.
Tomorrow Monday also looks promising, however not as strong as on Sunday. The actual temperature difference on Sunday was16.7C. For Monday, expect 10C, wind more like fresh to strong breeze.
