As a "captive" Apple user, I'm stoked to hear that there are plans for a non-Flash CB cam. Pretty please don't keep the Apple users in the dark too long  .

Can you take down that new CB webcam please?

Going to be almost as bad as Maui webcams for wanna-be-there envy and/or "Oh-crap why didn't I drive up today?" :(

Bad enough to have the SISWAD (South Island Seasonal Wind Affected Disorder), but at least before today we sometimes didn't know how badly we missed it until the logs got posted!

Sigh, well - maybe the IV weather of the 90's will come back. Enjoy it up there - great work!! :)

There is no reality other than my own. There is no wind unless I'm there.

Except now I can see that may actually not always be true. Damn you Big Wave Dave! Your webcams are shattering my coping solipsism.

When I end up living in a van down by the river, chasing wind and waves full-time, it will be your fault... (thank you in advance)

I'm sure it's fine to have the flag up when we're sailing, but it is Betty's front yard and I'm not sure if she wants a pirate flag there 24-7?

wow

Too bad they never made portable Laser Disc recorders so you could record it in 480i.

As a temporary work around for those with iPhone's/iPad's, try downloading the free Puffin web browser with Flash support. Let me know if it works:
http://www.puffinbrowser.com/

It's got some strange referral code program, enter this code in Settings and get 2 months of flash support: ikzjcxgfmjpma

There are also other options in the app store, search for "flash browser".

About the PTZ camera controls...sorry, there is no easy way to get this working publicly since we have no way of queueing the controls. We also don't want to burn out the camera, so for now it's not really an option.

I am very sorry to report that the house where the CB webcam and weather station are located has sold and the new owners do not want the equipment there :( This is very bad news since it was a perfect location for so many years.

I need some locals to check door to door to see if we can find another place for both the webcam and weather station. PM me if you want details about the $$ I can give /month for Internet. Ideally the house would be on the water. We may have to forget about the weather station for now.

And suggestions of where to put it are ok, but I really need someone to take the lead in finding a new spot and setting up the gear since I don't think it will be me doing it this time

I also need someone to pick up the gear soon, I don't have time until after Sept 15.

Thanks
Dave
