I have 18-25 so long as the forecast is optimistic... could be sketchy for a newbie, but sure to have fun as well.

Hey Mr Law

I am in. Last week of July for sure the week before that - may be if my employer is willing to let me go earlier than the law requires.

Just remember - feel comfy and have fun. ;)

July 17th - Aug 3 for me too, if the body holds up that long. My neck is not doing so well. It sounds like a bit of an old and injured group going down this time. Hopefully more coast than the gorge.

anyone hitting HR first before heading to the coast? I may only be able to leave Saturday but it would be nice to hook up with someone who knows their way around as I've never been there.

We (My pregnant wife and I) are heading down south tomorrow. We'll probably do the oregon coast first, maybe try to get some sailing in but mostly just R&R, then probably hit HR on the way back, Keen you'll be there on the saturday? I'll be checking my email, keep me posted, be fun to sail together.

Big D;
Try Oceanside for R&R and maybe sailing if you're more "North Coasting" it. Just down the street from the sailing spot is a Parks kept beach with nice clean facilities, a very protected area from wind and waves, and a really nice family vibe.

Sailing there can be wonderful, bigger wave board and big sails, locals there talked of typically using 100 L boards and 5.3 sails. Launch is directly across from the water treatment plant, small signboard, short steep walk. Park is 2 minutes further into town.

Have Fun. Sounds like you're first out.

I'm heading down today. Looks like Florence is good Tues-Thurs trying for the jetty. Big D it will be lonely on the water without you! Hope the coast holds for the rest of you though Lisa will prob want to head to warmer places before that.

Not sure yet, I could take the 730 thurs pm if it looks like a coast day Fri. So far things aren't looking epic for the coast Fri/Sat, but it's early yet. I'll likely decide Wed if I leave Thurs or Fri.

The pressure model looks very promising for Monday onwards tho. I'd be willing to drive further south too if necessary.

David,

I just made a reservation for Friday @ 7:30pm. I can't really leave before then anyway. So if you leave on Thursday I'll catch up later brah! I kind of wouldn't mind zipping into HR to pick a few things up so maybe a day or two of gorge sailing would be okay. But then I assume that you have arranged for good coast conditions.

Yours truely,
Mark

"It's Raining Whale! Hallelujah! - It's Raining Whale! Amen!
I'm gonna go out to run and let myself get
Absolutely soaking wet!
It's Raining Whale! Hallelujah!
It's Raining Whale! Every Specimen!
Long, grey, dark and lean
Rough and tough and strong and mean..."
