I think the dude is asking a little much for that old stuff, it must mean something to him...maybe keep it instead so you can ride it again? Hey I got an old mistral skreemer, had a few dings that got sticked... FREE! or gimmee a 6 pack for it. or I'll just keep the thing so the kids can play with it... whatever

That flat rocker and asa skin, oh boy, this is a sweet deal if I've ever seen one! Plus look at those harness lines, far apart and far forward, I'm surprised the board still has a nose, guess that 20lbs of asa really is valuable!

There's just to much.

It pains me to think of someone buying this gear wanting to get into the sport.

Okay, I'll give it far from the worst on here, but still a steep price for 25 year old gear.

Funny you post that. I am helping a teenager here in Sooke get started in kiting....he emailed me about this "great deal" yesterday! My response:

"DEFINITELY NOT!!!!!!!!!!! Highlights the problem with buying used kiting gear......this is obsolete, outdated, and unsafe. Should not be given away much less sold at any price."

Sadly, this may sell to the wrong person, who figures they can just tame that wild Bronco without lessons. The result being somewhere between hilarious youtube fail videos and super tragic injury or worse.

The trainer bar, pump and kite might be worth half the overall. I can't see anything particularly obviously obsolete there - but that is because I am too new to the sport and can't recognize the parts of the technology that have changed so much that this would be classed as outdated and dangerous. Glad i was able to buy new. Killer deal.

you know what, you're right....the trainer and the harness and pump could be worth something towards that amount. I just saw Bronco and jumped to "FORGET ABOUT IT" for my friend.

Good kites in their day, state of the art maybe in the c-kite era, but nowhere close to modern standard, especially for a beginner.

used vic has nothing on this guy 8)
Wow, that's beyond satire! But those "original" prices he probably could have bought a place in hood river At the time the gear was new.

4 new footstraps today aren't even $120, http://ca.dakine.com/p/windsurf/footstr ... tstrap-15s
