Although not real time streaming video, from the time stamp it looks like we still have access to real time webcam shots, correct? If so people would still have that as a back-up or work around.
Sometimes you get a black screen saying Offline and sometime you get an old recorded stream...check the timestamp!

The low bandwidth version (FTP uploads every 60sec) are working fine. The daily time lapses are fine. If all else fails then we can go back to 20sec uploads just like the old days but hopefully it doesn't come to that. We may just have to wait for some time for the issue to resolve itself...weeks/months? We have a few people at Shaw looking into the issue.

Yes all the same ISP. All 5 youtube cams have issues but best to worst is:
Pipers --> Comox --> Gordons --> PA --> SalmonPT

In case you haven't noticed, ALL YouTube webcams are down. Youtube made some changes to their streaming service which broke the live cameras. Hopefully the webcam manufacturer will come out with a fix. Thank you for your patience during these difficult times.

The low bandwidth version (FTP uploads every 60sec) and the daily time lapses are still working.

Webcam update:

1) SP webcam, as Ray mentioned "Due to current internet or wifi issues the SP cam will be down till the homeowner can get shaw in to trouble shoot the problem. Hopefully will be dealt with by Christmas or New year". We are hoping to upgrade to a live cam over the next month.

2) OgdenPt - hoping to upgrade to a live cam over the next few weeks.

3) SalmonPt - not sure what is going on here, I think it's a flaky switch that the webcam is plugged in to. I've stopped by a few times but am getting tired of fixing it.

4) PA webcam - the Ethernet cable is leaking water into the building (apparently regular Ethernet cable is porous...who knew?). I have some proper gel filled outdoor to replace it with at some point, hopefully in the next few weeks.

5) Willows - will be down until probably Jan 3

6) IV cam - needs some attention, and ideally upgraded to a live cam at some point

7) Pipers cam - well youtube sucks and someone there apparently does not like the view. It is impossible to talk to an actual person to find out how to resolve the issue. I have had to switch to Facebook live in the meantime, but you will need the FB mobile app unfortunately.

Other than that, everything is working perfectly :?
