Again, yikes, glad you are all right DavidM! I don't think I could be that calm about it, I hope the boater at least learns to pay a lot more attention.

So glad you were calm, had an action plan, and had the timing and skill to pull it off! A lesser waterman (mere mortal) might not have faired so well.
Looks like a lifetime of surfing duck dives paid off big time!
(picture the boat where the wave is)
I have to admit the few times I have sailed the pipe the high-speed power boats ripping through there have given me the creeps.
