Amazing Foiling Summer

As I was looking at some stats, I got 29 days foiling this summer at warm water venues. 20 days at Nitinaht and 9 at China Creek. None of which were in July, weird...? June thru September's weather was above average I think. Lots of sunny days meaning wind at these two sites. Hoping for more of the same next summer. I was lucky with the dates that I booked, because having to book my sites 6-9 months in advance isn't great as you never know what the weather will be. China Creek does have a $10/day parking option I believe for day trips but not 100% sure about that during high usage times during summer and hoping for something along that option at Nitinaht next summer but not holding my breath because of continued COVID protocols.
I do want to give Kudo's to the people running the campsite as they did a great job ensuring we were as safe as possible by following the Health protocols and allowing us to enjoy the lake. Especially Anne, she was amazing organizing and managing the sites and the people. I truly appreciate her and the work she did this spring and summer. Thank you Anne.
I will add to this post with kms travelled as it was pretty great summer sailing time for me and I'd like to know how far I actually travelled. I would say, if you want to learn how to do anything, do it everyday for as many days as possible. I made huge progress this summer and feeling proud of the time I put in practicing. It makes foiling more enjoyable when I'm not falling in, uphauling and pumping every couple minutes.
The funnest (okay, most fun) part of Foiling, for me, is foiling with others. It adds to the stoke on the water and seeing others make their gybes or downwind 360's etc. is very woohoo-able. Also, much safer now that with the foil I can pretty much go wherever I want. I would like to circumnavigate James Island on a mild SE or some longer distance tours if anyone is interested in that type of thing.
