Windsurfing booties

The time has come to replace my ripped booties. I have been using a pair of xcel surfing booties that have a strap over the top of the foot. I haven’t really had issues getting in and out of the board foot strap using this style but wondering if it would be better buying booties without the strap.
Wondering if it’s a non issue or makes a difference?
