Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go in Barbados?

I want to learn to kiteboard, and have been thinking of planning a trip to Barbados in the late spring. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay, and where to take lessons. I'll be on my own(and female) so safety and a spots reputation would help me select a place to learn down there. Thanks in advance for any help you can give!!!
