I was a kid living in rural Langley/Ft Langley then, many of our neighbours had roofs taken off or barns blown down, we lost most of our shingles. We were without power for about 3 weeks, my chore was to fill buckets in a pond in a field nearby and carry them back for toilet flushing. My dad brought drinking water back from the school by car in big stoneware crocks (I think the dandelion wine was dumped to make room). Wikipedia says the storm bottomed at 960 mb, this storm tomorrow is supposed to be in the low 950s. Good thing its way offshore!
