well, I haven't kited there but windsurfed there for years. Bring your big stuff, rarely over 25knots. As you get into town drive down to the second to last intersection and turn right, follow road out to the marina. If you go to the last one, the promenade is right there.

If you get a chance to drive down the east side of the lake to Bear Creek (Must be pretty windy at Rivtow, the first boat launch just past the marina you pass, for it to blow through) it's kinda like Nitinat, about 5 knots more there and onshore sideshore, beautiful spot. Actually get rollers here on occasion and this is the time it may happen. Don't bother if you don't see windsurfers ripping at RivTow. The drive to Bear is 10 mintues pavement, 20 minutes nasty gravel and take your automatic weapons to be able to return fire, weirdos down there during weekends. Rivtow is fun for flat water, watch drunk boaters, wind is strongest in front of the hotel on the far end, don't go too far into the wind shadow or you will get into the Harrison river and drain with your kite into the Fraser....eventually, haha

Water quality is amazing, fall in, take a drink, enjoy the vista. Breckenridge glacier to the north, the valley peaks to the south. Water is nippy early but should be fab by now, probably not shorty yet tho.

Launch at Rivtow bound to be dicey with turbulence and poor wind, might be better to launch straight off the promenade past the kiddie pond in middle of downtown but KC7's will know. Also you will see anyone that's out pretty easy and ask questions there.
