Fantastic, it's great to hear that the Kteboarding Windfest went off so well. Any pictures posted would be great to see.

Do you know when the Windsurfing Windfest will be rescheduled for since it was postponed..??

Hi Bobson,
The Windsufing Events didn't happen due to weather. The July event was postponed in advance based on weather forecasts and we rescheduled for Aug 7 8 9. Even though the weather forecast was poor we proceeded with the August event. As it turned out the weather tanked. No wind. All rain. The campsite was empty. Boo. Is there interest in the windsurfing community to try a third time? I have all the trophies and awards in hand for both the Western Canadian Windsurfing Championships AND Nitinaht Windfest Windsurfing Championships dated for 2009. Let me know!
Cheers,
Jude

This weekend or next!!! Why not make use of the trophies?

On another note, who sanctions the event as the western Canadian championships and do people who represent that general geographic area generally show up? Sorry, its a newbie question.

I know lots of people who wouldl love to race. I think you just have to set the date and people will come. I was there for the first scheduled time and the weather was amazing....not sure why it was postponed. Lots of us made the trip up only to be told on Thursday that it wasn't going to happen. I had 5 days straight with 15-25kts everyday for at least 6 hours each day which would have been actual perfect conditions.

It sounds like Kite Windfest was really good, I hope we can make the Windsurf Windfest just as good and like Mr. Nanmoo says...if you've got the trophies, why waste them....??

Awesome!!!

SImply an awesome time! For someone who has never attended a windfest event before, this was amazing for me!!! So nice to see everyone out there pulling sick moves, and speeding!!! I loved it! Big thanks to Jude and Dale. Amazing job!

Any word on getting rid of those pesky windsurfing trophies? This weekend looks good so far...

Yes it does Mr. Nanmoo-dood!
It's still a long way away for forcasting but it's shaping up well. Not a huge temp difference between Coast and Inland but enough for wind!
