Nice to see! In an earlier thread "Haida weather"
http://www.bigwavedave.ca/phpBB2/viewto ... ight=haida
I wondered about the lack of kiteboarders and windsurfers given the epic-is-normal wind and waves and warm water.
Good writing - looks like magazine travel article?

yes iwas in the charlottes long ago before i started to windsurf..1975`to be exact....the surf is astounding foam on the beaches and yes lots and lots of amazing beaches..the west coast which i did not see..and you may well know..not very accessable except by boat or chopper..may be even wilder...wonderful reminder.. also why we don't need oil rigs out there too..the haida are a wonderful people indeed..in charge of their land and managing it very well....cheers to you and all your new friends you met there..
