My friends @ Coast Guard advise me that the Vancouver station handles the most calls in B.C. ... Sandspit (Haida Gwai) handles few calls but is to be kept open. This is all nonsense. Rescue is all about time & situational awareness. If OUR tax $ isn't spent on practical uses like a Coast Guard what is it to be spent on ? We haven't heard the last of this & we should be ready to act as a group to keep our coast safe !!!
