The August doldrums are here and apart from some puddle sailing it is time for family camping and home/RV maintenance. What keeps my stoke going is the hope for a week of "getting blown off the water" Florence in September when also hopefully the larger swells return.

This is also a good time to pick up some winter gear ordered up and take advantage of Hood River sales as well. Days are a little cooler for mountain biking. The beer selection is always great and lateron Oyster and Salmon harvesting can add some spice.

Targets for me are a week or 10 days (or maybe 3 weeks  ) of sun and wind after the school year resumes and after Sept 4th. My guess is we are going to see the summer arrive/resume in September and into October this year given we had no June

I see Kevin is planning to head down, is anyone else interested :?: The more the merrier :D

Next week looks absolutely wicked for Florence (so far, long range forecast).

Swell, wind, sun, probably some fog. Bit of a heatwave coming in a week too. The lake will be good for some kiting then still!

Thinking leaving Sunday or Monday night if it builds more. Oz? Kevin? Anyone else? 8)

EDIT: hmmm, forecast dropping, down to 50% chance now

Another wicked 4-5 day-er aborted :? today  If anyone has the time, central Coast will give you all you could ever ask for the next few days.....great swell, big period, fog then sun, 20-25+ every day.....DAMN  how can life be so freakin' busy even when I am not working....too bad the ferry now only runs twice daily :?

Remember this for next year: There were at least 4 September central coast windows of 3-5 days at a time.
