It's that time of year to book off vacation and plan for some morning grease at Double D's, attractive locals serving you Dairy Queen dessert, scones at the bookshop, generally unattractive locals, a few busted teeth, a communal bottle of Fireball, Walmart, and maybe even some wind and waves.
Pistol River contest dates this year are June 18-23.
I'm waiting to hear about the SUP contest before I make my plans.
I might also check out the Santa Cruz contest again as that was a lot of fun last year. It got moved a month back to May 30-June 2, so it should be even better this time around, plus a bunch warmer. Anyone interested in that at all?
It sure feels weird planning for windsurfing since it seems like I haven't done it in forever.
So Who's in?!?!?

Shit, I just checked and I haven't sailed since October 19th!!! That is 3 months!
Also taking this opportunity to call out KC7777 for this years coastal expedition. Let the heckling begin.

Looking forward to it! Don't know my dates for sure yet, but would love to head down for the event unless everyone is trying to avoid it. Always seems to be lots of room on the water even with the event as well as a fun vibe. Want to be sure to SUP/sail with the gang, though!

End of June for me too. I will go when others are going. This appears to be my only sailing time for the entire year these days.

Finally ... I expected this forum post at 12:01am Jan 1st
My schedule is flexible, so I'll go when the hoard goes, except I'd like to avoid the PR bash dates
one factor for me is my wife's 50th BD on July 1. the doghouse is looming.

Own that doghouse, and it will reward you tenfold.

Crap I haven't sailed since some time in August!!!!! (but I have 24 ski days this year as of today). And powder is returning this week to Baker.

Dave,
That was intentional.....just trying to incite namoo into a heckling frenzy!

When it comes to KC7777 heckling, I offer up what I can, but it pales in comparison to Kus' efforts.

For no-wind days, I now have SUP, and my goal is to catch one small wave. Yes, I will be bringing all my high-wind gear, can't wait to get out there again. If I must, I will try to bring along the Chilliwak-guy (KC7777) and maybe the toe-guy (mtm), but I am not responsible for their lack of water-activity (mtm in particular has been known to be distracted by tasty Oregon IPAs)! Lookin' forward to seeing those whom I met down there last year, you guys made the trip memorable. Counting down.
